App development
We are app developers in London. We design, build and launch iOS and Android apps, and we run our own on both stores, so we know what happens after launch day.
Most of the apps we build use React Native with Expo: one codebase for iPhone and Android, without giving up native features. Push notifications, in-app purchases, offline sync, widgets and the camera all work as they should. When a project needs fully native code, we write Swift and SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
You own the code from day one, in your own repository. Every two weeks you get a TestFlight and Google Play test build to try on your own phone, and we handle the store listings, review guidelines and submission.
What we build
iOS apps
SwiftUI or React Native, built to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and taken through App Store review.
Android apps
Kotlin or React Native, tested on real devices across screen sizes and Android versions, and published on Google Play.
One app for both stores
A single codebase in React Native and Expo, as Dividify UK is, or in Capacitor, as Little Taps is.
Subscriptions and payments
In-app purchases and subscriptions through the App Store and Google Play with RevenueCat, or Stripe on the web.
Backends and integrations
Accounts, databases and APIs on Supabase, Node.js and PostgreSQL, connected to services such as Companies House, Xero and QuickBooks.
Launch and support
Store listings, submission, monitoring and the first fortnight of fixes after launch. Then a support plan if you want one.
Apps we built and still run
Both are live on the App Store and Google Play. We answer their reviews and ship their updates ourselves.
How a project runs
Two-week sprints, a demo at the end of each and a weekly written update.

Questions about app development
How much does it cost to build an app in the UK?
It depends on what the first release needs to do more than anything else, so we do not publish a price list. We scope the app with you first, then give you a fixed quote. As a guide to size, a Design Sprint takes 2 to 3 weeks, an MVP Build 6 to 10 weeks and a Full Product Build 12 to 20 weeks.
How long does it take to build an app?
A focused first version is usually 6 to 10 weeks from kick-off; a fuller product is 12 to 20. You see a working build on your phone every two weeks along the way, and App Store and Google Play review is normally a day or two at the end.
Do you build for both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Most apps we build ship to both stores from one React Native codebase. If your app needs something only native code can do well, we build that part in Swift or Kotlin.
Will I own the code?
Yes. The code lives in a repository you own from day one, and the App Store and Google Play listings sit in your own developer accounts.
Do you only work with businesses in London?
No. We are based in London and work the same way wherever you are in the UK: a shared board, a weekly written update and a demo call every two weeks.
